1. Ask Your Audience
Your audience is always one of your best resources for blog post ideas, so don’t be afraid to ask them. If you have a sense of what they might want to read about or which topics they’re interested in, why not tap into that? You can do this in a few ways.
For example, you could run a poll on your blog or social media pages, or you could simply ask your audience for their thoughts in the comments section of your latest post.
Not only this will help you come up with new post ideas, but it will also help you better understand what your audience wants, which can be a big help for your traffic and email conversions too.
2. Steal From the others
One of the best ways to come up with new post ideas is to steal from others. What do I mean by this? I mean that you should take a look at some of your favorite bloggers and see what types of posts they’re writing. Are they doing weekly roundups? A series of guest posts? Interviews with other bloggers?
Once you’ve identified a few post types that your favorite bloggers are doing, come up with your own spin on them. For example, if you like the idea of weekly roundups, but don’t want to do the same thing as everyone else, try coming up with a different theme each week. Or if you like the idea of guest posts, but want to make them more personal, try interviewing friends or family members instead. You get the idea.
3. Quora
Quora is a Q&A site where users can ask questions and have them answered by specialists. It’s a great resource for finding blog post topics because if you search for a specific topic, you’ll often find several questions about it. You can also browse by topic to get an idea of what people are asking.
Once you find a question that you want to write about, create a blog post in detail answering the question. But don’t stop there, answer that question on Quora as well and be sure to include a link to your blog post in your answer so that people can read it in full. And if you want, you can also suggest a follow-up question to ask your readers, which can make it easier for them to provide feedback.
4. Reddit
Similar to Quora, Reddit is a platform where people can ask and answer questions, as well as share links, and discuss topics.
You can browse by topic or subreddit to get ideas for blog posts, and if you find a thread that’s relevant to your niche, you can either browse the subreddit and find the blog post idea or leave a comment asking the community. Alternatively, you could also start a new thread on the relevant subreddits and see what kind of responses you get.
Moreover, there is a tool called Keyworddit that instantly shows you the most used keyword on a subreddit with a monthly search volume. This tool doesn’t work for all subreddits, but it does work for the vast majority of them.
5. BuzzSumo
BuzzSumo is a tool that helps you find the most popular and shared content on the web. It’s great for coming up with blog post ideas because you can see what topics are getting the most shares on social media.
You can also use it to find influencers in your niche, as well as other blogs and websites that are worth reaching out to for guest posts.

6. Do Some Personal Development
Everyone has their own unique set of interests, skills, experiences, and goals. This is what makes us all so different from one another. So why not do some personal development and write about it? For example, if you’re interested in travel, you could write about your latest trip or share some tips for planning a successful vacation. Or if you’re into fitness, you could write about your latest workout routine or share some healthy recipes. The possibilities are endless!

Google Trends is another tool that’s great for coming up with blog post ideas. You can use it to search for trends in keywords, which you can then turn into blog topics. For example, if you search for “keyword” in Google Trends, it will show you how often that term has been searched for over time and related keywords and queries. You can then use this data to find topics and write about them.

As we all know Google is a powerful search engine that can be used to find information on the internet. But did you know that you can also use Google to find ideas for blog post topics?
There are various methods to use Google to find a number of blog post ideas.
Google Autocomplete
Google autocomplete can be used to find content ideas. If you type a keyword into Google, the first thing that pops up is its auto-complete function. This is essentially an instant suggestion for what to search next and this only includes the queries that are actually being searched by people. It can be a great resource for blog post ideas as well as content research.
For example, if you type in “how to” Google will suggest the next words after that as well as provide a few popular searches that include those words. You could then write a post about each one and turn that into an exhaustive list of helpful “how-to” guides for your niche.
Google related searches
This tip is similar to the last one, but it’s not that specific. Instead of using auto-complete to see what people are searching for after typing in your keyword, you can use the “Searches related to” section instead.

This is a feature on Google that’s similar to the related searches section. It’s usually displayed at the bottom of a search result and shows you what other people have been searching for along with your chosen query.
These suggestions can help generate blog post ideas because if you click on one of them, it will show you several other related searches. You can then use all of these suggestions to create a blog post about each one if that matches your niche.
9. Hubspot blog topic generation tool
Hubspot idea generator lets you extract popular topics from publicly available sources. Just type in the keyword and the tool will display the topics you can write related to the keyword you entered. You can add up to 5 keywords and it’s highly recommended to include as many keywords as possible(up to 5) to get the most effective result.
10. Use keyword research tools
Keyword research tools give you a range of topics that are popular and in demand. and also helps you to steal blog topics from your competitors.
However, most of the keyword research tools are paid and few of them offer a free trial (You can utilize those trial periods to gather as many topics as possible to write later).
Here are some tools to get you started
Semrush
Semrush is one of the best keyword research tools that I personally use to generate blog topics. It also offers a 7-day free trial. You can utilize the free trial to gather as many keywords and generate 1000s of blog topic ideas and note that down on a Google sheet to work on it later.
Enter the keyword and the tool will give you the variations of the keyword, questions related to the keyword, and general related keywords. I recommend starting with broad topics for your niche because it’s relatively easy and you can try to improve the blog posts later.
The next method is to put in your competitor’s URL and view organic keywords. Here, the tool will display all the keywords that the site is ranking. Note down the keywords that have high search volume (at least 500 searches) with low difficulty (below 40%).
Make sure that you have activated the trial offer since it’s necessary to view organic keywords and access the tool to its full potential.
Google Keyword Planner
Google Keyword Planner is a completely free tool that is directly from Google. It helps you to find out what the world is looking for on Google. It also helps you to estimate search volume and find related keywords.
However, this tool is not intended to be used for this purpose but can be utilized as such.
It’s quite similar to Semrush but not as effective as that since the tool is actually developed for ads purposes.
You can either discover new keywords or find the search volume and forecast of a keyword.

11. Brainstorm
If all else fails, sometimes the best thing to do is simply brainstorm a few ideas. This can be as simple as sitting down with a notebook and pen (or your favorite brainstorming app) and thinking of as many post ideas as you can.
The more, the better! Once you have a good list, go through it and see which ones are the most interesting to you and which ones your audience might be interested in. From there, it’s just a matter of narrowing them down and writing them up.
